Track-out FUN

The kids found (and caught) 3 lizards while doing yard work: Billy, Lillie & Bob.
My little cowgirl: Mackenzie LOVES to play dress-up!
GUESS WHO? Caroline was a HOOT in this curly red Ariel wig.

The children are always thrilled to track out. The afternoon of track-out, they pulled out Easter decor from the attic. By the evening, they had pulled out dress-up bins from the attic & had a BLAST dressing up and playing together. With the nice weather, they've been pitching in with chores & yard work, even washed the car... it's been GREAT! They love the great outdoors & helped plant potatoes & mint in the garden. I'm sure we'll have more fun working and playing together in the coming days and weeks.

Meet Baby Bella

On Easter, the kids met Dave & Camillia's new pet, baby Bella. They just LOVE her and poor Bella got so much attention that she tuckered out in the grass before the day was through. She's lots of fun to play with. Looks like Dave & Camillia may have found some good babysitters!

Red Lipstick

So... I put my red lipstick to use by putting it on thick & smooching the kids. I drew a heart on the eggs the kids were dying with an invisible crayon & told them whoever got the marked egg would get a special surprise. So, when Scott ended up with the lucky egg, I had him close his eyes, then put on some red lipstick and smooched him on the forehead. Then, everyone wanted a KISS. It was funny. I think I've started something.

Proud COUSIN

Mackenzie is quite EXCITED to meet her newest cousin, Spencer Harold Alexander Simpson... big name for such a little guy, but... he'll grow into it we're quite sure. Baby Spencer is a keeper! He weighed in at 6# 13oz (exactly the same as Mackenzie), so she thought that was quite special.

I'm feeling LUCKY!

Lucky to have 3 healthy, happy, smart, beautiful, active children.
Lucky to wake up to being pinched by a little boy who noticed I didn't wear green to bed. But, he quickly brought me something green to put on so I wouldn't get pinched by the girls when they woke up!
Lucky that Scott was able to remove the bag of Skittles that I got jammed into the printer this morning. He followed the trail of gold coins to the printer in hopes of finding a bag of skittles, instead, he found that I had tried to print a document and the bag of skittles I had hid under some paper in the printer (so he could find them) got jammed in the printer in the process. So much for the luck of the Irish. But, I was lucky that it caused no permanent damage.
Lucky that I didn't have to cook breakfast this morning because there's nothing luckier than a bowl of Lucky Charms. Oh... I've tried green eggs in years past. That didn't go over well with Scott. Last year's green grits about made Caroline cry, though Mackenzie thought having green milk was funny. So, this year I played it safe and served Lucky Charms for breakfast... all smiles in the Truelove household this St. Patrick's Day!

Harlem Globetrotters

Scott: Getting autographs after the game
Papa Truelove took Scott to see the Harlem Globetrotters. Papa told Scott that he saw them play when he was about his age. He also said the Eric got to see the Harlem Globetrotters play when he was about this same age. So, the tradition lives on.
The ball handling was nothing less than amazing! The boys came home and began trying tricks too, but things got out of control quickly.
Scott thought the entertainment was a hoot! Thanks PaPa Truelove for a great night out. Lots of great memories!
